Why Viator?
As a TripAdvisor company, Viator is the #1 source of OTA bookings globally. However, manual management is impossible at scale. Our API connection treats Viator as a 'Slave' inventory—it looks at Odybook to know if a seat is available.
The Mapping Process
Every 'Product' in Viator must be mapped to an 'Experience' in Odybook. Crucially, your 'Offerings' (e.g., 10:00 AM Departure) must match exactly. If they don't, the API will reject the booking, leading to a manual sync error.
Dealing with Commission Logic
Viator takes a standard 20-25% commission. We recommend using the 'Channel-Specific Pricing' feature to set a higher price on Viator than on your direct site to preserve your margins.
